NOVA PhD School 2026
The 2026 school will take place in-person 13 till 16 April in Dwingeloo, both days included.
The NOVA PhD School is designed to broaden the academic background of astronomy PhD students by offering advanced courses on topics that may not have been covered during their undergraduate studies. Participation in a NOVA PhD School is mandatory at least once during the PhD trajectory for all astronomy PhD candidates affiliated with a NOVA institute. For TU Delft students, participation is optional.
In addition to the scientific program, the school provides an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow PhD students and develop essential skills for a successful career, both within astronomy and beyond.
This year’s program will offer two parallel lecture streams, taught by Francesca Rizzo (Galaxies) and Ralph Wijers (High-Energy Astrophysics). Participants are required to select one lecture stream in consultation with their supervisor and are encouraged to choose the option furthest from their own research focus to maximize the breadth of their training.
Please register latest before 13 March 2025 by filling in the registration form.
